Terms of Use
Agreement
By downloading or using Toro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are between you and Daniel Hyunjoe Rha ("we", "us"), an individual developer based in Toronto, Canada.
What Toro does
Toro is a mobile app that scans barcodes on food and skincare products and provides ingredient analysis personalized to a skin profile you configure. It also includes a companion character whose state reflects the quality of products you scan.
Toro is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Ingredient information is for general informational purposes only. Nothing in the app constitutes a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult a dermatologist or physician for any skin-related health concerns.
Toro Pro uses AI-generated analysis (powered by Google Gemini) to summarize ingredient information. AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. Do not rely solely on AI-generated summaries for health or purchasing decisions.
Your account
You must create an account to use Toro. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Subscriptions and payments
Toro offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (Toro Pro). Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- We do not offer refunds beyond what is provided by Apple or Google under their refund policies.

You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.

Disclaimer of warranties
Toro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that ingredient information will be complete or accurate for every product. Ingredient databases may have gaps; results should not be used as the sole basis for health decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Daniel Hyunjoe Rha will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any health decisions made based on information provided by Toro.
Governing law
